3-week class starts Saturday April 8
Introduction to Israeli Dance

Get a taste of Israeli dancing in a 3-week class.  The first two sessions are on Saturday afternoons at Multnomah Arts Center, and the last class is on a Sunday night at Burlingame Water Tower.

FULL PRICE: $30 includes all three days

FRIEND DISCOUNT: Bring a friend and save $5 each. $25 includes all three days.

If all you know about Israeli dancing is doing the grapevine step to vintage dances, you will be surprised. Israeli choreographers are creating new dances for new Israeli music all the time. Who is Israeli dancing for? Anyone who loves music and enjoys dancing. Introverts, you will hardly have to make small talk at all. Extroverts, charge up your batteries with all the happy group energy. WARNING: Israeli dancing is addictive! But luckily, it’s also great exercise and a stress-reducer.

Cancellations

If you signed up for the class on meetup.com, please cancel within the Meetup event. If you signed up through this website, please email Anne at pdxisraelidance@gmail.com

Last minute cancellations:

Try not to cancel within 48 hours of the class. Trying new things is always going to be a bit of a hurdle, especially if you are coming alone. That's why we give discounts for people to bring a friend. If it helps, people who are attracted to this are always good people. There's a reason you signed up for this.

What to wear

Shoes. Lace-up athletic shoes are recommended. Bring shoes with you and change into them when you get to the studio. Dance sneakers, hip hop shoes, or running shoes are best because of the cushion and stable sole.

Exercise clothes or street clothes. Causal wear like tshirts and jeans, or comfortable athletic wear is a great place to start.
